Yard Goats Group Leader Appreciation Day

CBC interns had the opportunity to attend a Group Leader Appreciation Day at Dunkin’ Park, hosted by the Hartford Yard Goats. The team enjoyed batting practice on the field, a meal at the ballpark, and a fun afternoon celebrating the community partnerships that make events like this possible.

Thomas Haskell, AIA, LEED AP is a 2025 CBC Board Member and serves on the DEI Committee, which helps advance our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. We’re thrilled to have Tom’s expertise, leadership, and passion for the AEC community back with us!

Tom is also an Architect in University Planning, Design, and Construction at the University of Connecticut.

Shawn Roberts is the Director of Technical Services and co-owner of Duraflex-USA, where he focuses on advancing clean technologies and practical solutions that support a circular economy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and has a long-standing passion for civil engineering and infrastructure development.

With over 36 years of experience in Special Inspections across building and heavy civil construction, Shawn brings deep technical expertise and field knowledge to every project. His background includes ICC, NETTCP, and ACI certifications, reflecting a strong commitment to quality and industry standards.
