CBC Board President

Dear Members and Friends of CBC,
I’m truly honored to begin my term as President of the Connecticut Building Congress. CBC has always been more than just a professional network, it’s a community of people who care deeply about what we build, how we build it, and the connections we make along the way. As a non-profit, our mission is rooted in bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and making a real difference for our members and for Connecticut’s built environment.
This year, I’m looking forward to being closely involved with all of our committees, helping them grow their ideas and celebrating the great work they do. Our committees are where so much of CBC’s energy and creativity come to life, and I’m committed to ensuring they have the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
In the months ahead, I’ll be working closely with our members to strengthen collaboration across our industry, connecting architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and partners in ways that spark new opportunities and lasting friendships. We’ll continue to welcome innovation and share best practices that keep us moving forward, while also reaching out to schools, communities, and young professionals to inspire the next generation. And of course, we’ll keep sustainability and resilience at the heart of our work, supporting projects and ideas that benefit both people and the planet.
At the heart of it all, CBC is about people. It’s about the conversations we have, the trust we build, and the sense of belonging that comes from being part of something bigger than ourselves. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together this year and I’m genuinely happy to be on this journey with all of you.
Here’s to a year of progress, connection, and shared success!
Warm regards,
Gregory J. Putnam, LEED AP BD+C
