THE CHANGING HIGHER EDUCATION LANDSCAPE WILL BE FOCUS OF CBC’S FEBRUARY PROGRAM

Manchester, CT – CBC will hold a discussion on the effects to a campus’ facilities caused by Higher Education’s changing approach to recruitment, retention, and increasing costs. Tom DiBlasi of DiBlasi Associates, PC will be honored for his long running participation and leadership at CBC.

Our economy and the decrease in the college age population are causing universities and colleges to address their facilities and campus. Some are shifting as they strengthen their partnerships with the workforce. The need to be competitive will result in new construction and renovation. All must respond to rising operating costs and decreasing donors. What does this mean for the design and construction industry? How will these project be planned, funded, and executed? Our panel will share their insights into the shifting landscape and what we might expect from higher education institutions.

The evening’s panel will be comprised of:
Richard Bachoo, Chief Administrative Office, Central Connecticut State University

Tom Curran, RA, Director of Campus Planning & Design Fairfield University

Todd Andrews, Vice President, College Relations & Advancement, Goodwin College

Darlene Mancini-Brown, Director of Facilities and Planning, Manchester Community College
